How Listing Your Car Works on Zoooom

Listing on Zoooom starts in your digital garage and ends with a live, credible marketplace listing — backed by VIN-decoded details, moderated photos, market-price guidance, and a verification step that confirms you actually have the authority to sell the car. Here's exactly what happens, screen by screen, and why every listing buyers see is one they can trust.

~80-second screen recording: pick a car from the garage, add photos, set a price with market guidance, verify, and watch the listing go live.

The listing flow, step by step

You list straight from your digital garage — or add the car right as you list it. The whole flow is five steps:

  1. Pick or add the vehicle Choose a car already in your garage, or add a new one on the spot. Enter the VIN and Zoooom decodes it to fill in year, make, model, trim, and specs — so the details are right without manual typing.
  2. Add photos Upload your shots of the car. Every photo runs through automated image moderation (Rekognition-style) before it appears, so listings stay clean and trustworthy. For what to shoot and how, see our selling-your-car guide.
  3. Set your price Name your asking price with market-price guidance on screen to anchor it — so you're not guessing against the rest of the market.
  4. Verify A listing requires identity verification and title/registration verification. Zoooom confirms you have the authority to sell that specific VIN before it can go live. Learn what verification involves in our KYC guide.
  5. Publish Your listing goes live on the marketplace and is included in the Zoooom sitemap, so buyers — and search engines — can find it.

Photos that buyers can trust

Photos are the first thing buyers judge — so Zoooom screens them. When you upload, each image passes through automated moderation before it lands on the listing, keeping inappropriate or off-topic content off the marketplace. The upshot for buyers: every photo on every listing has been checked.

Price with confidence

Set your asking price with market-price guidance right beside the field, so you can anchor against comparable cars instead of guessing. Price too high and your listing stalls; too low and you leave money behind. For the strategy behind a strong price — and how to read the comps — see how market prices work and our selling-your-car guide.

Verification can't be skipped — and that's the point. Listing a car requires live identity verification plus title and registration verification before it goes live. It's the one step you can't bypass, because it's the gate that keeps fake and stolen-car listings off Zoooom. Every listing buyers see comes from a real, identity-checked seller who's proven they hold the title — which is exactly what makes honest sellers' listings credible.

Attach a Verified Report

You can attach a Verified Report to your listing so buyers see title brand, open recalls, and condition up front. Up-front transparency builds trust fast and tends to cut down on "what are you hiding" lowball offers.

Your listing goes live

Once verification clears, your listing publishes to the Zoooom marketplace and is added to the Zoooom sitemap so buyers and search engines can find it. From there you'll field offers, message buyers, and move toward a deal — all inside Zoooom.

Why it works — for sellers and buyers

For sellers

List with credibility

  • Reach verified buyers who've cleared identity checks before they can transact.
  • Price with confidence using on-screen market guidance.
  • Your listing is credible because every seller is verified and title-checked — no anonymous noise to compete with.

For buyers

Why buyers trust Zoooom listings

  • Every listing comes from a verified seller who proved they hold the title to that VIN.
  • Photos are moderated, so what you see is clean and on-topic.
  • An optional Verified Report surfaces title, recall, and condition status up front — far safer than open classifieds.
A note on state restrictions. A handful of title-holding states have rules that can affect listing, buying, or selling on Zoooom. If your car or your driver's license is registered in one of them, see how state restrictions work before you list.

Common questions

Do I have to verify my identity to list?

Yes. Listing requires live identity verification plus title and registration verification before your car goes live. It confirms you have the authority to sell that VIN, and it can't be skipped — it's what keeps fake and stolen-car listings off the platform and protects honest sellers' credibility.

Do I need to add the car to my garage first?

No. You can list a car already in your garage, or add it as you list. Either way, entering the VIN auto-fills the vehicle details.

What happens to the photos I upload?

They run through automated image moderation before they appear on your listing, so the marketplace stays clean. Buyers know every listing's photos have been screened.

Where does my listing show up?

On the Zoooom marketplace, and in the Zoooom sitemap so search engines and buyers can find it. You can also attach a Verified Report so the car's history shows up front.
