Should I fix it or replace it? Is this car hiding something? Which one is the better buy? Zoooom now answers all of it — free, with the evidence attached. And the company says these are the first four of many.

Zoooom Launches ‘Facts’: A Free AI Suite Built to Give Car Buyers the Edge with Verified Data
CYPRESS, CA – August 21, 2026
Zoooom today launched Zoooom FACTS, a free suite of AI-powered tools built around a single conviction: when a car owner has a question, they should be able to get an answer backed by verified data — not by someone's sales incentive.
Car ownership generates a constant stream of questions, and almost none of them involve a transaction. Is this repair worth doing on a car with 140,000 miles? Is the used SUV in the driveway hiding a salvage title or a flood history? Which of these two crossovers actually costs less to own? Historically, every one of those answers cost the owner something — money, an appointment, hours of research across a dozen sites, or all three. And the only person offering an opinion on a repair is usually the one being paid to perform it.
The cost compounds in a way that discourages exactly the diligence buyers should be encouraged toward. Vehicle history reports can run upwards of $40 each, and a careful buyer rarely looks at only one car. Checking three or four candidates properly can cost well over a hundred dollars before a single test drive — so people check one, or none, and hope.
Zoooom FACTS flips that information asymmetry back to the consumer. Each tool takes a real question, runs it against verified datasets — NHTSA recall records, FEMA flood data, national theft registries, live market values, and Zoooom's proprietary catalog of more than 1,500 vehicle trims — and returns a plain-English verdict with the evidence behind it.
The first four products inside the Zoooom FACTS suite
Fix It or Ditch It — the Car Repair Cost Estimator
Ask in plain English what a repair should cost. Zoooom estimates parts and labor for the specific year, make and model at local shop rates, checks whether the work may still be covered under factory warranty, and weighs the cost against what the car is actually worth — delivering a clear verdict on whether to fix it or replace it. Free, with no account required.
Compare Cars
Evaluate up to three vehicles side by side, free and without an account. Add them by VIN or select year, make, model and trim, then place real asking prices and mileage next to powertrain, fuel economy and body specifications, built on Zoooom's catalog of more than 1,500 trims. Signing in unlocks additional data layers, including estimated market values, open recalls and factory warranty status.
Free Vehicle Report
Enter a VIN and uncover the car's full history in plain English: title brands and salvage history, FEMA flood-risk correlation, theft and stolen-vehicle records, open NHTSA safety recalls, known issues for that specific year, make, model and trim, and an estimated market value — all resolved into a single verdict and score. To mark the launch of Zoooom FACTS, the company has extended its offer of up to three free vehicle reports per account through October 31, 2026, so buyers can evaluate multiple candidates without paying upwards of $40 a car for the privilege.
AI Walkaround Inspection
To answer what physical condition a car is truly in, Zoooom's computer-vision technology turns a smartphone camera into an automated assessment tool. Following on-screen guidance, the owner walks around the vehicle while the AI evaluates what it sees and returns a condition assessment in minutes — delivering the substance of a pre-purchase inspection without the appointment, the wait, or the trip to a shop. The inspection is built into the Zoooom Vehicle Report.
Answers, not advertising
Every tool in the FACTS suite works whether or not the visitor ever buys or sells a vehicle on Zoooom. The company says that is deliberate, and central to what it is building.
“I want Zoooom to be the place car owners go when they have a question — any question — and get it answered with data. Most of this industry only shows up when there's a transaction to take a cut of. But people have questions about their cars constantly, and almost none of those moments involve a sale. Should I fix this or let it go? Is this car as clean as the seller says? What's mine actually worth? Those deserve a real answer with the evidence attached — not a sales pitch, and not a paywall,” said Sheng Wang, CEO and Co-Founder of Zoooom.
“Transparency isn't a marketing line for us; it's core to how we design and build products,” added Christophe G., Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Zoooom. “When you give customers the exact same data and computer-vision tools that industry insiders use, you give them a massive edge. They make better decisions, save money, and stop feeling like car ownership is something being done to them.”
And when the answer is “buy it”
The tools stop at a decision. Zoooom's argument is that the decision itself has been the other unsolved problem — because a private-party car sale still ends the way it did thirty years ago, with a stranger asking for cash or a cashier's check and two people meeting in a parking lot hoping it goes well.
Zoooom's Stripe-powered checkout makes contemporary payment methods available inside the deal. A buyer can pay by credit or debit card on vehicles up to $15,000, with the seller paid out instantly; by bank wire at any price, initiated before the 2 PM Pacific cutoff to land the same day; or in cash at handoff, as private-party buyers always have. In every case the seller receives their full asking price.
The pricing is deliberately plain, and it gets cheaper the less the buyer asks of Zoooom. A card adds a flat $100 plus the card network's published 2.9% + 30¢, passed through at cost with no margin. A bank wire adds only the $100, because Zoooom covers the bank fee. And a sale settled entirely in cash costs nothing at all — Zoooom waives even the $100.
Zoooom does not offer financing or pay-over-time of any kind. It originates no loans, extends no credit and issues no pre-approvals, and it does not offer buy-now-pay-later. The company says financing is in development.
Much more to come
Zoooom was explicit that the four tools launching today represent the foundation of Zoooom FACTS, not its final form. The company's stated aim is to cover the full arc of car ownership — buying, financing, maintaining, repairing, valuing and selling — holding every new tool to the same three standards: answer the owner's question directly, show the verified data behind the answer, and deliver it without a paywall.
“These four are the beginning, not the destination. There's a question at every stage of owning a car, and almost all of them are still answered by whoever has something to gain from the answer. We intend to work through them one at a time until a car owner can come to Zoooom with anything and leave with a real answer. There is a lot more coming,” said Sheng Wang, CEO and Co-Founder of Zoooom.
